The city of Spoleto is normally quiet, quaint, set in the green, rolling hills of Umbria. But over the coming weekend, Spoleto will strap on its helmet for the annual “MotoClub Spoleto” and engines will be revving throughout the city.
Beginning on Friday, October 26, there will be an opening expo with guided tours of the city beginning at 15:00, followed by a performance by motorcycle stuntmen in Piazza Garibaldi at 18:00. Later in the evening at 20:00, “Donne e Motori” (Women and Engines) will be held at the Ex Cinema Teatro Moderno. The late-night party will feature a dinner as well the music played by DJs Marco Lux, Ami Sua, Radio Pinchi and Musica Totale. Entrance into the venue for the DJ sets will also include a dinner plate.
Tours of Spoleto will continue on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 and can be booked at the info point. Motorcycle stunts will also resume on Saturday, as the stuntmen move their show over to Viale Trento e Trieste. On the second day of “MotoClub Spoleto,” there will be four performances, one every two hours beginning at 16:00 at the Honda Open Air Space. Also on Saturday, be sure to catch the “Esibizioni Freestyle” (Freestyle Exhibition) being presented on Viale Trento e Trieste at 15:30, 17:30, 19:30 and 21:30 at the Abarth Open Space.
The three-day event will wrap up on Sunday, beginning with the opening of the tenth “Trofeo delle Regioni” (Trophy of the Regions) race at 9:00. At 10:30, the open area minimoto begins. The race will wrap up at 15:00, with the awards ceremony to be held at 16:00.
