Angela Hewitt's sixth Trasimeno Music Festival was held in Umbria, Italy in 2010. Seven concerts in seven days were held in the Castle of the Knights of Malta in Magione, the Basilica of San Pietro in Perugia, and the Church of San Domenico in Gubbio. Angela performed alongside cellist Pieter Wispelwey, the Quartetto di Cremona, the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, conductor Hannu Lintu, and soprano Ilona Domnich. Author Vikram Seth was interviewed by broadcaster Eric Friesen in the Sala dei Notari in Perugia. The festival brings together musicians and music-lovers from all over the world for a week in an inspiring setting. Alongside the music, the festival offers the opportunity to visit the famous hill towns of Umbria (Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Gubbio, Orvieto) and to delight in Umbrian cuisine at the Gala Dinners preceding three of the concerts. The seventh festival will be held from July 2 - 8, 2011.
